2022 Nissan Kicks Redesign
2022 Nissan Kicks Redesign – The 2022 Nissan Kicks is a subcompact crossover designed as an affordable option for the new car market. Although only available in the US for a few years, the first Nissan Kicks 2022 appeared on the global market in 2016, which means it’s time to freshen up and revamp with some upgrades.
The Nissan Kicks 2022 comes as a facelift model, keeping all the details people loved about last year’s model while making some noticeable changes. The 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with 122 horsepower remains the same, but Nissan is stepping up the style with some noticeable improvements to the exterior and some subtle changes to the cabin. Nissan hopes the updated Kicks will help it compete with subcompact rivals such as the 2022 Chevrolet Trax, Honda HR-V, Hyundai Venue and the Jeep Renegade.
Nissan Kicks 2022
In the latest generation, the Nissan Kicks 2022 it is clear that there have been many changes, most definitely affecting the style. There’s a big new “Double V-motion” grille at the front, new wheel designs, new color options, available LED lights, and even some changes to the cabin. Inside, you will find a new dashboard display, a new seven-inch driver information display, and also a screen as an infotainment system which is an eight-inch touch screen. The 2022 variant the Nissan Kicks SV and SR also gets disc brakes at the rear for much needed stopping power improvements.
2022 Nissan Kicks Concept Exterior
On the exterior, the 2022 Nissan Kicks Redesign is very attractive as a subcompact car, the New Nissan Kicks has graced the front with a large front grille that is framed on both sides by angled headlamps. The vertical side vents make Kicks look taller than they really are, but the two-tone color scheme available can compensate for that and make Kicks appear slimmer.
At the rear, there is a faux diffuser and roof spoiler along with LED taillights. Both the headlamps and taillights can optionally display LEDs, and we enjoyed the new connected taillights bar. Using 16-inch alloy wheels is standard while the tall Nissan Kicks gets 17-inch alloy wheels.
New Nissan Kicks 2022 Engine
Nothing has changed from the previous year, the New Nissan Kicks 2022 still uses a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that is naturally aspirated and driven by a CVT transmission. The power produced reaches 122 horsepower and is capable of producing 114 lb-ft of torque driving the front wheels exclusively without the all-wheel-drive option.
This powertrain combination doesn’t inspire a lot of fun, but it does motivate the Kicks without sounding too tiring. The engine likes to inhale fuel at low rpms, but sounded lackluster about leaving in a hurry. Highway passing power was somewhat lacking, but with some planning, the Kicks proved adequate. Sport mode keeps the transmission in a lower ratio, facilitating easier maneuvering.
While Nissan Kicks 2022 CVT olders unit tends to buzz and keep the engine at one rpm, the transmission in the Kicks is capable of changing ratios like a traditional automatic. During normal driving, Kick can almost fool the driver into thinking that there is a drive wheel in the transmission rather than the pulley system.
2022 Nissan Kicks Model Interior
On the interior side of the cabin, the inside is not really to be expected. However, inside the cabin still looks sporty and neat and the placement is easy to use. The 2022 Nissan Kicks complements the inside of the cabin including air conditioning, a six-speaker sound system, a seven-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, and, on the higher trims, a seven-inch driver info display.
While on the Nissan Kicks 2022 SV or SR variant to see some new upholstery designs, but you also get a bigger eight-inch infotainment display. As for the heated front seat features and heated steering wheel only available in the 2022 Nissan Kicks SR variant.
2022 Kicks Infotainment
In 2022 the base Nissan Kicks S gets a seven-inch touch-screen infotainment system while the Nissan Kicks SV and SR cuts the screen size to eight inches. The eight-inch infotainment system is easy to navigate and features Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to make up for the lack of available built-in navigation. The screen also displays images from the rearview camera which are quite sharp. Bluetooth also comes standard along with USB and USB-C inputs on the front with up to two USB charging ports on the back.
Nissan equips an infotainment system to the six-speaker audio system on the 2022 Nissan Kicks Model S and SV, while the top 2022 Nissan Kicks Model SR gets access to an optional eight-speaker Bose audio system including a pair of UltraNearfield neodymium speakers in the driver’s headrest. So far, this is the best sound system available in this Nissan Kicks 2022 variant.
