2022 Toyota Mirai Concept Arrives
2022 Toyota Mirai Concept Arrives – Toyota has finally introduced the latest generation of 2022 Toyota Mirai Concept with an all-new design, a stunning change of style from its shabby-looking predecessor. Built on the same rear-wheel drive platform that underpins the Lexus LS 500, the 2022 Toyota Mirai has become a luxury vehicle aimed directly at the Tesla Model S. Carrying an improved fuel cell engine, the Mirai 2022 offers a wider range than ever before as well. But can Toyota lure Tesla customers?
Toyota Mirai 2022 Exterior
The exterior design of the New Mirai 2022 has nothing in common with its predecessor. Thanks to Toyota’s global GA-L modular platform, the proportion of the new Mirai 2022 is very different. Its height has been reduced and the wheelbase length has increased, now measuring 115 inches. The rear overhang has been increased by 3.35 inches, the width is almost 3 inches, while the overall length is to 196 inches. Carrying standard wheels measuring 19 inches and optionally 20 inches helps provide a more dynamic look.
The new platform also allows designers to deliver a 2022 Mirai four-door coupe design. When viewed from several angles, the new Mirai is similar to the 2022 Audi A7 Sportback, which is certainly not a bad thing. The design of the front and rear ends also looks new, although both are somewhat softer compared to the 2022 Toyota Camry and Avalon. Toyota stresses emotional design is a top priority because customers judge vehicles not only by the way they drive but also by their appearance.
New 2022 Toyota Mirai Redesign Interior
Switching to Interior design 2022 Toyota Mirai also allows much more interior space than ever before. With seating that can accommodate up to five passengers. Rear seat passengers will enjoy more legroom. This was made possible by a new platform that allowed engineers to repackage piles of fuel cells and other drivetrain components.
The dashboard layout is similar to other models with a large infotainment touchscreen display located just above HVAC controls. Precise measurements of the display and screen of driver information have not been provided. The wide center console allows enough space for two cupholders and wireless charging pads for smartphones. The location of the gear shift is unique because it is placed just to the left of the climate controller to facilitate driver access.
Mirai 2022 Fuel Consumption
The latest generation Toyota Mirai 2022 has three high-pressure hydrogen tanks that hold 12.5 pounds of combined hydrogen compared to the previous 10.15 pounds. Toyota expects a range of up to 400 miles, a 30 percent increase, though official EPA testing is not yet complete.
The new fuel pile is smaller than ever with 330 cells reduced from 370, setting a new record for power density because electric motors now produce 179 horsepower, up 27 horsepower than ever before. Torque dropped 26 lb-ft to 220 lb-ft. Toyota claims the time that can be reached by mirai 2022 to reach 0-62 mph takes time in 9.2 seconds and a top speed of 108 mph. RWD and lower center of gravity promise a better driving experience, while new multilink front and rear suspensions replace the front MacPherson buffer and rear torsion beam for better stability.
Hydrogen fuel cells have been moved from under the floor to the front compartment resulting in a weight distribution of 50:50. Weight reduction of fuel cell stacks is achieved thanks to manifold relocation, cell size reduction that optimizes the shape of gas line separators, and the use of innovative electrodes. Lithium-ion batteries replace old nickel-hydride units.
2022 Toyota Mirai Price Release
The official U.S. price has not been announced but Toyota said the MSRP for the New 2022 Toyota Mirai Rumors will be reduced by about 20 percent. Mirai 2022 is estimated to have a starting price of $58,600. This is quite significant and will greatly help achieve the goal of increasing sales volume up to tenfold. Another good selling point for environmentally conscious buyers is that the 2022 Mirai exceeds zero emissions with or commonly called “negative emissions,”.
Previously, several competitors in the fuel cell range included the 2022 Honda Clarity Fuel Cell hatchback and the Hyundai Nexo 2022 crossover. This time, however, the Mirai 2022 is truly in its own class thanks to the new platform and the proportion of flagship-sized sedans. The 2022 Tesla Model S is now a direct competitor even though it has a base price of nearly $70,050. Another question that we hope can be answered soon is whether Toyota will expand sales of the latest generation Toyota Mirai 2022 to other U.S. states. We certainly hope that’s the case.
